The complete user's guide to the empire (WIP):
Recruiter:
You are now a citizen of The United Empire of Ferrum, now what? You must first recruit 2 members into the empire:
ask who needs a job, who needs a home, who wants to join the imperial army, who wants to live in a city, etc. be sure to also use some real world methods and plenty of good old propaganda speaking, once you get a recruit you must have them fill out a citizenship application on our website. After this they are given a basic house in the residential district if the city they applied to live in and they will be shown this guide and sent off to get their 2 recruits. After you get 2 citizens for the empire you may pick a job and work at it, you also have the option to stay a recruiter and continue to grow our numbers.
ABOUT PAY:
this pay comes from the treasury account of the mayor of the city the government worker lives in, this income is paid weekly and is subject to taxation, the worker can choose to be jobname (volunteer) and be a volunteer worker who does not get paid but they help better their city, pay only begins when economy grows to become sustainable
-GOVERNMENT JOBS-
Warehouse runner: goes to all the production sites and collects the items and runs them to the warehouse manager to store, if it is an item that is to be smelted they must go and smelt it in a smelter building then run it to the warehouse manager
Warehouse manager: gets items from the warehouse runners and logs the production (format is Total X entering warehouse today: number, X being the item, for every item the warehouse handles, example: Total diamonds entering warehouse today: 25) then puts the items in the correct chests, the warehouse manager also logs items coming out (Total X leaving the warehouse today: number), the warehouse manager gets and office and a desk and owns all the locked chests in the warehouse if the colony is on minetest or is modded with a locked chest mod, if not he uses normal chests.
Warehouse guard: (only on games/servers locked chests are not available) The warehouse guard stands guard at warehouses and ensures no one steals anything, if they do the guards slay them and put back the items that the criminal stole when the criminal drops their inventory on death
Lumberjack: the lumberjack chops down trees and calls over a warehouse runner to pick up the logs, he replants after what he chops and does: clear cut, replant, wait, repeat, they can keep 50% of the logs
Quarry worker: the quarry worker deepens or widens quarries and focuses primarily on collecting stone and giving it to the Warehouse runners, they keep all the ores they mine as payment but have to chunk mine to collect maximum stone
Tool repair worker: the tool repair worker takes almost broken tools and repairs them in an anvil or if an anvil is not applicable they give replacement tools, all workers must have tools repaired as opposed to breaking them
Farmer: the farmer gets a farm plot and farms crops, when the crops are harvested the farmer gives 50% of the crops to a warehouse runner
Rancher: the rancher gets a plot similar to the farmer but farms animals, they catch and breed animals and farm and slaughter them, they also keep some to breed, milk, and shear, they give 50% of the products to a warehouse runner
Explorer: the explorer gets equipped with supplies and a book (and quill if minecraft) and travels the map writing down the coordinates of important locations and enemy bases, when their expedition is over they put the info in the book into a text document and post it on communications board or have someone else do it if they cannot, the format is like this: locationname (X, Y, Z)
Scout: goes to enemy bases and writes a scout report on them, the scout report format is this:
Base name:
Owner:
Base civ: (name of clan that controls base)
Base cords:
Average number of defenders:
Base defense score: (1 to 10, 10 being best)(the base itself, not the defenders)

-CITY BUILDING PROCEDURE-
The first step in founding a city is to get permission from the governor of the providence you want to build the city in (or the emperor if it is not in a ferrumian providence). Then you must find a good spot for the city, be sure to take into account the biome, the surrounding terrain, and the closeness to other cities. Once you find a spot notify someone who can edit the atlas and city list (right now just ferrum princeps). When city is done (to a reasonable extent as our cities constantly expand) have a ferrumian city inspection team inspect the city to make sure it is up to the ferrumian standard.
